At Cheryl Robinson Counselling, I appreciate that the current cost of living is affecting many households. Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting enough without worrying about the financial commitment.

For this reason, I offer a small number of reduced-fee sessions for clients and couples who may be experiencing financial difficulties. My hope is that those who need support are able to access it without feeling excluded by cost.

If finances are a concern, please do not let this stop you from making contact. Together, we can discuss whether a concessionary space may be available and find the most suitable way forward.

Because healthy relationships and emotional wellbeing should be accessible to everyone.

Arrange an Initial Session

You do not need to commit to long-term therapy before knowing whether working together feels right.

I encourage new clients to begin with one initial session. This allows us to talk about what has brought you to therapy, discuss what you would like support with and consider whether my approach feels suitable for you.

During the first session, you will have time to:

  • Talk about what you are currently experiencing
  • Ask questions about counselling or psychotherapy
  • Discuss what you hope to gain from therapy
  • Explore whether face-to-face or online sessions would suit you
  • Decide whether you feel comfortable continuing

The relationship between you and your therapist is an important part of the process. Beginning with one session allows you to make that decision without feeling pressured into a longer commitment.
